Description | Gastronomic Plan for Kuopio Region
The aim of the project is to create a common vision of the responsible European Region of Gastronomy, the Kuopio 2020 area, nationally and internationally renowned food region. The project establishes a network that is involved in defining the strategic goals and developing an implementation plan for achieving the visio and the goals. The network consist of companies and other actors. One of the goals is to increase the international competence of companies and their capacity for international markets. In addition, the project identifies three indicators of social, economic and environmental responsibility that are measured annually. The result of the project is the North Savo gastronomic strategy, developed in cooperation with regional companies and experts. |

Savonia is one of Finland's biggest and most versatile universities of applied sciences. Our campuses are situated in Kuopio, Iisalmi and Varkaus.
