The degree programme qualifies the engineers as an example to work in the technology industry and in digital healthcare service companies at the field of Internet of Things and Big Data. Duties vary within the fields of software design, electrical engineering, business and design of smart wireless devices to whole IoT system in the cloud. You can find the working place most probably in a company operating with international context.

The programme prepares the student to work in an international team environment. The project based learning methods like CDIO (Conceive, design, Implement and Operate) is used. The courses are available in the WEB making the blended learning possible. Project learning enhance self development, communication and interpersonal and social skills. Project teams of students from different countries will bring international skills, team working skills combined with deep engineering know how.

As an professional engineer the technology competencies cover sensors, wireless and mobile technology, internet network, clouds, databases, data-analysis, WEB user interfaces and programming of the different parts of the system and applications. The Big Data analysis is essential part of the ecosystems studied.

Structure of Studies:

The structure of the studies is based on process thinking and the learning process on problem based learning. Students are encouraged to include in their programme special project studies and final thesis in companies in Finland or abroad.
