At Savonia, tutoring and student guidance is provided to help students in various practical matters, to ease the study process, and to help them utilise the available teaching resources in the best possible way. The students receive guidance from the supervisor of the new group, tutors and heads of the degree programmes, lecturers and the office staff.

An introduction is arranged for new full-time students at the beginning of each academic year. The aim is to introduce the school and its degree programmes to the students and to help them deal with different practical issues.

For exchange students, there are also tutor students. The tutor students are the students of Savonia UAS who have volunteered to assist exchange students after their arrival. They help exchange students in completing necessary forms, etc. Tutor students may also help the exchange students in finding leisure time and social activities.
