Open UAS Student Admission

You can apply with Open UAS studies twice a year, in May and in November.
The next application period is on 2nd - 15th November 2020.

If you are studying a study path (60 credits) at a Finnish Open University of Applied Science (other than Savonia Open UAS), you can apply to Savonia UAS by using the form “Separate application, Open UAS Student Admission, Savonia UAS, autumn 2020” to become a degree student.

If you are studying a study path at Savonia Open UAS and have completed 60 credits, please contact Admission Services ( We will give you instructions how to apply the right to study.


The admission criteria

You can apply to Savonia UAS with Open UAS studies, if you meet the following requirements and there are free study places available:

  • You have completed your Open UAS studies in a Finnish Open UAS (other than Savonia UAS)
  • You have completed at least 60 credits of studies which could be included in the degree programme you are applying to (credits recognized on the basis of previous studies are excluded)

Open UAS studies must be completed and registered to your transcript of records by the end of the application period.

If there are more students applying than can be admitted, the students´ study success and the number of credits will be decisive.

The decisions on the admission of students are made within four (4) weeks after the expiration of the application period and information about the decision will be sent to all applicants by email.



You can apply at You will find the right degree programme by searching with the name of the degree programme and Savonia (e.g. International Business Savonia). Open the additional information and fill in the form “Separate application, Open UAS Student Admission, Savonia UAS, autumn 2020”.

Fill in the application form during the application period on 12nd - 15th November 2020. The application period ends on 15th November 2020 at 3 pm Finnish time.

Please enclose official study record to the application form by 17th November 2020 at 23:59 Finnish time.


Tuition fee

Savonia UAS collects tuition fee from non EU/EEA students. More information available on our website.
