Why nursing? Why Savonia?
The nursing profession, amongst other things, helps you save lives. It helps to bring happiness to those who are in need of it as well as comfort to individuals and families. This is what I enjoy doing. That is where my motivation lies, and that is the reason why I decided to study nursing. I chose Savonia because it is one of Finland’s largest and most versatile Universities of Applied Sciences. It offers the degree of my choice, and does that in English language too.
What has been the best so far?
One of the best things about the nursing program has been the curriculum’s structure. There is a great combination of theory and practice; this method allows students to internalize all that were taught and learnt during the lectures. Students get to apply and develop their skills in the simulation centre. This is definitely one of things that I have enjoyed the most at Savonia! The simulation centre is equipped with everything students need to succeed in the nursing profession. Another thing that has been incredible so far are Savonia’s teachers; they are wonderful! I have noticed that Savonia’s teachers are really passionate about students' success. They want students to succeed, and they are always there for students.
A message to potential applicants and personal future plans
If you are interested in studying nursing, I highly recommend Savonia University of Applied Sciences to you because, so far, Savonia has really been a wonderful experience for me. Here you are assured of getting quality education at an affordable cost, and a student friendly environment through which you can expand your networks. After graduation, I would like to work here in Kuopio because I would love to give back to the community that has given me so much in terms of education. I really want to make a difference in the healthcare profession, and I would like to start here in Kuopio.
