Information for International Partners related to COVID-19

Savonia University of Applied Sciences has international exchange students from our partner universities. The spread of the COVID-19 has reached also Finland, and therefore Savonia UAS actively monitors the situation with the virus and the related instructions from the authorities.

Savonia will do its best to ensure the students possibilities to carry on their studies in scheduled way even with some unavoidable changes in arrangements. We will change as much contact learning as possible to distant learning for rest of spring 2020 season starting from Thursday March 19th. All internship periods will continue as planned, unless the instructions from receiving partner will restrict the continuation.

Because of the COVID-19 we have also decided to cancel or postpone student and staff exchanges that would start or international events that would take place during spring 2020. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this causes for our partners.

Savonia UAS takes good care of students’ health. In case of any questions and concerns, exchange students can contact the International Coordinator of their own study field. In case our partner universities have any questions or concerns, they can contact also international(at)savonia.fi and Manager of International Relations Virpi Laukkanen (virpi.laukkanen(at)savonia.fi).
