- Savonia University of Applied Sciences
Around the globe digitalisation is challenging social and health care services and education. Finland has been for a while a leading country in utilising health care technology. Savonia University of Applied Sciences is offering an international master level programme called Digital Health master’s programme. Savonia’s newest programme will be launched in Autumn 2017, Master in Digital Health. The programme focuses e.g. patient-centeredness and service design. Digitalisation requires new practical skills: use the web, social media, and mobile devices to communicate with and connect to patients and peers. Work is more in interdisciplinary teams and even international networking becomes daily routine. There is a need to learn modern leadership and management skills in digitalized social and health care.
Savonia has offered for years the master programme in development and management of social and health services. The Digital Health Master programme is 90 ECTS (around two years, studies are online). The student needs to have at least bachelor level education and three years working experience before entering studies.
