International Cooperation

The international cooperation at Savonia University of Applied Sciences is mainly based on student, trainee and staff exchange as well as common development projects. The Savonia has approximately 180 partners in nearly 30 countries. The most important areas are EU, Central and Eastern European countries, Russia and Nordic countries. Still, the Savonia has also cooperation agreements with institutions in Africa, America, Asia and Australia.

The cooperation is mainly based on different cooperation programmes, such as EU funded LLP/ERASMUS, TEMPUS and The Nordic cooperation programme NORDPLUS.
All schools of the Savonia have adopted the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which aids the recognition of studies conducted abroad and comparison between different educational systems in EU countries.
