Theseus.fi – the publications of the Universities of Applied Sciences all at one address
The theses of the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences can now all be found at just one address http://www.theseus.fi/en/. Theseus offers these publications for anyone to read.
The students themselves upload their work and accept the electronic terms of use, in which they grant their University of Applied Science the right to publish their work.
It is possible to use a Creative Commons licence – a copyright system that was developed for online environments – at Theseus. Creative Commons enables the author to share their work online under terms that they can specify themselves. You can find more information about Creative Commons on the Theseus site as well as on the Creative Commons Finland site at http://creativecommons.fi/etusivu.
Logging into Theseus can be done with the usernames and passwords provided by the students’ universities. Only uploading requires logging in. Otherwise, the materials are available to everyone as Open Access publications.
Theseus is a service that is offered by Arene ry, the Rectors' Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences.
Savonia University of Applied Sciences starts using Theseus during 2009.
