The highest decision-making power in SAVOTTA lies in the hands of the body of 12 representatives. The members of the body are chosen by the students each year. The executive board uses its executive power and runs the operations of the student union. The chair person and 4-8 board members are chosen by the body of representatives. SAVOTTA has also a few full-time and part-time employees.
SAVOTTA is a member of SAMOK (Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences). In SAMOK, our local student union has influence on national matters and the members of the executive board have access to the seminars provided by SAMOK. SAMOK is also our mouthpiece to the state administration and national organisations.
