Application to international Bachelor-level degree programmes of Savonia UAS closed

The application period to the international Bachelor-level degree programmes at Savonia UAS closed on 24 January 2018. The 60 available study places attracted 286 applicants who chose Savonia as their most preferred study place.  The total number of applicants stands at 564, which is nearly ten applicants per study place. Last year Savonia offered 35 study places and received more than 80 applications.

The most popular international degree programme is the new Registered Nurse programme in the field of Health Care. There the number of submitted applications for 10 study places is approximately 250, of which 150 applicants chose the programme as their most preferred alternative. The second most popular degree programme was International Business, where the number of first-choice applications totalled 55. A new Engineering programme, Internet of Things, attracted 35 first-choice applications against 15 study places. The fourth degree programme, Mechanical Engineering, in which Savonia UAS has long traditions, also increased in popularity and attracted 50 first-choice applications. 

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business: First-choice applications 55, study places 20
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Internet of Things: First-choice applications 35, study places 15
  • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering: First-choice applications 50, study places 15
  • Bachelor of Health Care, Registered Nurse: First-choice applications 146, study places 10

The final application numbers will be available in a few weeks as soon as the university has checked the applications for double entries. Those who are interested in the international Bachelor degree programmes can still apply during the second joint application period in March 2018 if they take part in the entrance examinations arranged in Petroskoi (Petrozavodsk), Shanghai and Kuopio in April 2018.
